A Whole New World!

It truly was a whole new world out there! Innumerable roads and highways crossing each other, a busy and yet friendly bustling crowd, shops that I can confidently say I lost track of after attempting to count and of course, the pleasant whether. Having come from a land of 30 degrees, the 20 degrees felt amazing, although the locals thought of it to be rather warm! After dropping off our bags at a hotel, we threw on our walking shoes, ready to explore the city of Birmingham. Ironically, all that we ever wanted, was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. While on the look out for restaurants, we walked into the humungous mall, namely Star City. It was probably one of the biggest malls that we had ever witnessed. Right form arcades, to casinos, to the cinemas, to rides and restaurants, it was all there and we could not have asked for more. We were told that there was something close to the hotel, but we definitely did not expect it to be, literally, a stone's throw away! The entire atmosphere of Birmingham just seemed very captivating. While the entire day did get exhausted in exploring the first mall that we saw in Birmingham, we were told that that was not even the city centre and that there was much more to see indeed. At first we were jaw dropped on hearing this, but what came to us as a surprise was the fact that it was just a 5 minute walk from the campus of Aston University! At this point, life seemed truly easy and comfortable and it did feel like I was about to live the dream. I was looking forward to the next day more than ever!
